Background | |
UNDP Indonesia's mission is to be an agent for change in the human and social development of Indonesia. We aim to be a bridge between Indonesia and all donors as well as a trusted partner to all stakeholders. We work in four key areas of development: Governance Reforms, Pro-Poor Policy Reforms, Conflict Prevention and Recovery, and Environment Management, with the overarching aim of reducing poverty in Indonesia. Besides the four priority areas, UNDP Indonesia is also engaged in a variety of crosscutting initiatives focused on HIV/AIDS, gender equality, and information and technology for development. Organizational Context The Aceh Government Transformation Programme (AGTP) is a project implemented under the guidance and direct supervision of the Governor of Aceh, UNDP is partner agency to this project, which is executed according to the “National Execution” modality agreed between UNDP and the Government of Indonesia. This project includes, among others, provision of Special Advisers who provide policy support to the Provincial Governor, capacity building and technical assistance for the provincial government staff and a fortification programme of support to BKPP (formerly Badan DIKLAT). The AGTP is currently in an initiation stage until further funding for a full roll-out becomes available. The National Project Director is for the moment the Governor of the Province of Aceh . The Component Manager is assigned to manage the day-to-day project implementation of the component assigned and provides support to Project Manager in overseeing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of AGTP project management. He/she is to organize and plan project implementation in accordance with the objectives of the AGTP project and adhere to UNDP rules, regulations and procedures whilst achieving UNDP Country Programme outcomes. On top of that, the Component Manager is to establish rapport and collaboration with beneficiaries and stakeholders. The Component Manager of TA for Governor’s Office (the 7 Teams) will assist the Project Manager to manage the short term assistance to the provincial government called 7 team assistance. Also urgently prepare the provincial governor’s office to coordinate the assumption of responsibilities, functions and assets the provincial administration will inherit from BRR in 2009. The Component Manager of 7 Teams will provide strategic and management leadership in setting up the 7 Team’s programme, as well as the actual to monitor the implementation of the project. He/she is tasked to support 7 teams to develop the Logframe and comprehensive work plan for all period of March 2008 until October 2009 and manage the good coordination of the 7 team to ensure the achievement of the project output.

A client oriented and efficient approach has impact on the image of UNDP Indonesia.
